APJ Abdul Kalam(1931-2015)

One of the most famous presidents and greatest of scientists 

is loved by all Indians. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam 

also known as 'Missile man of India' served as 11th President of India. 

Born in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, an aerospace engineer led 

India to become a developed country in terms of Technology. 

He wrote several books: India 2020, Ignited Minds, 

Wings of Fire is his autobiography.

R K Narayan (1906-2001)

Leading author of early Indian Literature was born in Madras (now Chennai). He is known for his work set on fictional south Indian village of Malgudi. His novels include: The English Teacher, Swamy and Friends, The Guide, Mr. Sampat, The Financial Expert, The Vendor of Sweets, The Tiger of Malgudi , etc.
